About the Author:

Michael Moore is a poet who started writing in 1975. He has mastered the art form of contemporary haiku. He currently lecures at colleges and univiersities. In addition, he works with the San Antonio Department of Arts and Cultural Affairs as a literary artists teaching haiku. He is a published author whose works include: Home Grown in the Haiku Garden, Chocolate Chips, and Chocolate Haiku.

the sleeping butterfly                     
a distant temple bell.
Spider leaps
from the ceiling fan
ancient bu
ngi jumper

La campana lejana de un templo 
suavemente despierta                        
una mariposa que duerme.
Araña brinca
del abanico del techo
saltador bungi antiguo
