About the Author:
Harlow W. Russ was an aeronautical engineer at Lockheed in 1944 when he was invited to join the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos. He was a Staff Member at Los Alamos National Laboratory until his retirement in 1979 and remains a Consultant to the Laboratory.
