- Our Internet site (sfol.com)
- World Wide Web: http://www.sfol.com or http://web.sfol.com
-
You're here, so it must be working :). The Web site has been up since early June, 1995.
You can also try http://www.sfol.com/sfol/sfol.html if your browser (notably NetCruiser) does not work correctly with the shorter forms above. For a complete list of the web sites we operate, visit the "Sites Hosted" page.
- Electronic Mail
-
Naturally, you can reach anyone involved in the site by e-mail. There are addresses for departments and people within Santa Fe Online. We also have a user directory, with e-mail addresses and pointers to home pages. For general questions write to:
-
Telnet: telnet://sfol.com
-
Telnet is a way to connect to computers through the Internet just as if you were dialing into them directly on a modem. Accessing SFOL by telnet is identical to the BBS (described below). You will be asked to create an account, if you don't already have one... they're free. The BBS lacks the visual amenities of the Web site, but also has features like file libraries, discussion forums and chat, which the Web site does not. You will need a telnet client that can handle ANSI screens and ZMODEM downloads: NetTerm is one that we use and recommend, but there are many others..
-
File Transfer Protocol: ftp://sfol.com
-
All of the files on the Bulletin Board System and the Web site are available for download via ftp (file transfer protocol) . This includes many works of art not shown on individual artist pages. To use this you can obtain an ftp program like WS_FTP or one of its competitors, or just click on any ftp address in your Web browser -- most handle ftp fine.
- Our office is a tiny room full of computers, and only intermittently contains a human being. The most likely time to catch a 'live one' isTuesday through Saturday from 1pm to 5pm, Mountain Time. The voice number is 505-473-4242 and faxes find us through 505-473-4545.
- You can resort to snail-mail (if you lack imagination):

- Novice Internet users can get educated at Learn the Net or pick up some pointers from our Net Wizard's Tips Page.
